GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND FLAT-COATED RETRIEVERS

Welcome to the website of Butterblac Retrievers. Butterblac is a small kennel that has been breeding quality Golden Retrievers and Flat-coated Retrievers.

Our Kennel is permanently registered by the Canadian Kennel Club and we are currently members of the Canadian Kennel Club, the Flat-coated Retriever Society, the Golden Retriever Club and the Kitchener-Waterloo Kennel Club among others. Normally we have two litters of Goldens per year and a litter of Flat-coats every year or two. All our puppies are born and raised in our home to insure that they are well socialized. Before leaving Butterblac our puppies have been tattooed, vaccinated, wormed and registered on Canadian Kennel Club non-breeding certificates.

All our breeding stock is certified free of hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and eye problems. Our small breeding operation has produced over 120 Canadian Champions and 80 American Champions and many Obedience Trial Champions, Agility Trial Champions, Tracking dogs, and Best In Show Winners. Puppies are sold by reservation and deposits are recommended.

Wendy and Doug are both All Breed judges Canadian Kennel Club Judges and are members of the Canadian Dog Judges Association (CDJA). In addition to Canada, Doug has judged in Argentina, Australia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, New Zealand, USA, Venezuela, China and Japan. Wendy has judged in Canada, United States, Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico and Japan.

Our kennel is located on 26 secluded acres in Cambridge, Ontario, approximately a one hour drive from either London or Toronto and only a few minutes off Highway 401.

The property is heavily wooded and surrounded by farmland and boasts several ponds ensuring the dogs receive the exercise they want and require.

It will be a pleasure to answer your questions and help you find a new friend. All our dogs are from pure bred stock. Socialization is very important to us. Our puppies for sale are current on their tattoo and worming. We select our dams and sires by genealogy, beauty and temperament. We are members of the largest group of dog breeders in Canada, The Canadian Kennel Club and are privileged to be recognized with the title of Life Time Member and Master Breeder status. All our pups are guaranteed and sold on non-breeding agreements. They all are registered and recognized by the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club).
